Welcome to our breakdown of the U.S. Southeast Diving Community. DIVE LOCAL defines the Southeast Territory to include Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. In some industry territory breakdowns, Florida is included in the South East Territory. DIVE LOCAL considers Florida a separate territory due to the number of watersports businesses in the state and it’s dominant market share in the diving community.
In our opinion, a Local Diving Community is comprised of at least Four Core businesses; the Local Dive Stores, Dive Boat Operators, Dive Clubs and Diving Instructors. Industry Professionals in these groups work every day in the community to 1) Teach Diving 2) Sell Diving Equipment 3) Take people Diving and 4) Keep Divers Active in the Recreation. These groups are the Four Pillars of every Local Diving Community.
Local Diving Community Professionals are supported by a number of Industries that specialize in Diving. They are; Diving Equipment Manufacturers, Certification Agencies and Travel Businesses.
The mission of DIVE LOCAL – SOUTHEAST is to define the number of Industry Professionals and Dive Businesses in the Territory and determine the economic impact of this community. This website addresses the following participants and activities.
