Welcome to our breakdown of the U.S. Florida Diving Community, also part of the Southeast Territory on many industry maps. DIVE LOCAL defines Florida as a separate Territory to because of the market share it represents in the United States Diving Community. It has the most Dive Stores, Dive Boat Operators, and other diving and diving related businesses than any other state and even some territories.
In our opinion, a Local Diving Community is comprised of at least Four Core businesses; the Local Dive Stores, Dive Boat Operators, Dive Clubs and Diving Instructors. Industry Professionals in these groups work every day in the community to 1) Teach Diving 2) Sell Diving Equipment 3) Take people Diving and 4) Keep Divers Active in the Recreation. These groups are the Four Pillars of every Local Diving Community.
Local Diving Community Professionals are supported by a number of Industries that specialize in Diving. They are; Diving Equipment Manufacturers, Certification Agencies and Travel Businesses.
The mission of DIVE LOCAL – FLORIDA is to define the number of Industry Professionals and Dive Businesses in the Territory and determine the economic impact of this community. This website addresses the following participants and activities.
